○ Names and districts of dongs confirmed according to City Ordinance No. 979
(announced on Sep. 29, 1975)
- Respective parts of Junggok-dong, Neung-dong and Gunja-dong were integrated and Jangan-dong
was newly established
- Respective parts of Jongam-dong and Anam-dong 5 ga were incorporated in Jegi-dong
- A part of Jongam-dong was incorporated in Cheongnyangni-dong
- Respective parts of Anam-dong 4 ga and 5 ga were incorporated in Yongdu-dong
- A part of Seokgwan-dong was incorporated in Imun-dong
- A part of Bomun-dong 7 ga was incorporated in Sinseol-dong
○ Changed the names, jurisdictions, the number of limits of heads of dongs according to
City Ordinance No. 981(announced on Sep. 29, 1975) (36 dongs→32 dongs)
Sep. 1. 1977 ○ Newly established 6 dongs including Dapsimni 5, Myeonmok 6, 7, Sangbong 2, Junghwa 2, and Mangu
2-dong according to City Ordinance No. 1181 (announced on Aug. 26, 1977) (32 dongs→38 dongs)
Oct. 10. 1978 ○ Jangan-dong divided and part of Yongdu 2-dong was incorporated in Sinseol-dong according to
City Ordinance No. 1287 (announced on Oct. 10, 1978) (38 dongs→39 dongs)
Oct. 1. 1979 ○ Names and jurisdictions of dongs confirmed according to City Ordinance No. 1362
(announced on Sep. 29, 1979)
- A part of Yongdu-dong was incorporated in Jegi-dong
- A part of Hoegi-dong was incorporated in Hwigyeong-dong
- A part of Hwigyeong-dong was incorporated in Hoegi-dong
- A part of Sangbong-dong was incorporated in Mangu-dong
Jul. 1. 1980 ○ Dong office opened according to City Ordinance No. 1413 (Mar. 31, 1980) (39 dongs→41 dongs)
- Jegi 1, 2, 3-dong were Integrated in Jaegi 1, 2-dong
- Hwigyeong-dong divided into Hwigyeong 1, 2-dong
- Muk-dong divided into Muk 1, 2-dong
- Mangu 2-dong divided into Mangu 2, 3-dong
- A part of Myeonmok 5-dong was incorporated in Hwigyeong 1, 2-dong and Jangan 1, 2-dong
Aug. 8. 1985 ○ The Dong Office opened according to City Ordinance No. 2015 (Aug. 8, 1985) (41 dongs→43 dongs)
- Jangan 1, 2-dong divided into Jangan 1, 2, 3, 4-dong
-A part of Jangan-dong was incorporated into Dapsimni-dong
Jan. 1. 1988 ○ Names and jurisdictions of dongs divided according to City Ordinance No. 2251 (Dec. 31, 1987)
- Myeonmok, Junghwa, Sangbong, Mangu, Sinnae, Muk-dong were incorporated into Jungnang-gu
(43 dongs→26 dongs)
May. 1. 1988 ○ Promoted as an autonomous district according to the Local Government Act Revision No. 4004
(announced on Apr. 6, 1988)
