Consumer Price Indexes
※ The price of goods and services are researched to make out consumer price index, the results of which are used as basic data for
financial and banking policies and as a deflator for other economic indicators, such as household's total income and expenditure.
The standard year is 2010 (2010=100); 481 goods and services are researched; and the weight is based on the expenditure among
the results of the urban household survey in 2012. The price survey is conducted three times a month for agricultural and
livestock products, once a month for industrial or service items, and once a quarter for payment in 37 cities. Laspeyres' Formula,
which is a weighted arithmetic mean method with fixed base point, is used for index estimation.
